Donda L. Pennington age 48 of Joplin, Mo. passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. She was born on June 28, 1967 in Miami, Okla. the daughter of Bob & Geneva (Bergey) Pennington.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Owen James Crotzer.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Pennington of Granby, Mo., Cheylowe Pennington of Carthage, Mo., and Ojay Pennington of Joplin, Mo., two daughters, Rashawnda Pennington of Joplin, Mo. and Cheyenne Hughs of Carthage, Mo. Also surviving are four sisters, Tracie Speak of Quapaw, Okla., Jackie Rawlins of Seneca, Mo., Deborah VanHeest of Virginia and Season Ridge of Kansas City, Mo., seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Donda L. Pennington will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Quapaw Tribal Building, Quapaw, Okla. Native American Rites will be performed by Jeremy Olsen. Interment will be in Griffin-Bergey Cemetery in Quapaw, Okla. Pallbearers will be Robert Pennington, Cheylowe Pennington, Nathan Davenport, Nathan Skye, Alford Skye and Payton Rawlins. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Greenfeather, James Snyder, Chris Snyder and Ben Waters. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Miami.
