Lucinda Cox Jones was the daughter of K.C. and Lucy Lena Cox. She was born in Indian Territory, Oklahoma. She married Nero B. Jones. They were the parents of 6 known children. Lucinda was listed as #5867 on the Tulsa-Canadian Tribal town roll of the Creek Nation.
After Nero Jones passed away, Lucinda remarried. Her second husband was John L. Lena. She and John had several children together.
Amanda Jones Frank wrote this of her mother, Lucinda after her mother passed away:
Mother is a wonderful thing, O, Mother, other folks can have you, but only your mother understands. She works for you, looks after you, loves you, forgives you anything you may do, understands you and then the only bad thing she ever does to you is to die and leave you.
