COLCORD, Okla. — Max Raymond Spencer, 74, of Colcord died Jan. 30, 1996, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born July 3, 1921, in Maysville to Kenneth and Sarah Wilhelm Spencer. He was a former welder and had worked for Clark Delco Co., Citation Manufacturing and Lee C. Moore Co. of Tulsa, Okla. He was currently working for the Colcord school system. He was a member of Colcord Chamber of Commerce, the Booster Club and helped organize the Colcord Riding Club and Talbot Museum. He was a Baptist. He lived in Gentry and Tulsa, before moving to Colcord in 1974. He was preceded in death by one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Lois King Spencer of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Johnny (Sue) Londagin and Mrs. Billy (Jan) Mitchell, both of Colcord; three brothers, Delmar Spencer of Milwaukee, Wis., Fred Spencer of Portland, Ore., and Melvin Spencer of Portland; two sisters, Marie Thompson of Jay, Okla., and Lafern Linn of Springdale; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs with the Rev. Edward Billups and Larry Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Row Cemetery.
