COLCORD, Okla. - Raymond J. "Hunk" Fairres, 85, of Colcord died Dec. 2007, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. He was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Colcord to Jess A. and Gertrude January Fairres.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 20th Infantry Division. He moved to the area 30 years ago from California. He was an auto parts dealer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Etta Thompson Fairres, in 2002.

Survivors include one Godson, Kevin Goodwin of Colcord; one sister, Pearl Ramsey of Twin Oaks, Okla.

A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday at Row Cemetery in Colcord with Larry Ellis officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, www.wassonfuneralhome.com.

COLCORD, Okla. — Mary E. Fairres, 77, of Colcced died May 7, 2002, at her home. She was born July 24, 1924,in Maysville to Jake and Iva Johnson Thompson. She moved to Colcord more than 30 years ago from California. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Fairres, to whom she was married in 1942; one sister, Lillie Hubbard of Portland, Ore.; one foster son, Kevin Goodwill of Colcord.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Row Cemetery in Colcord with Larry Ellis officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
