LORENE GOINS
1912 - 2004
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Lorene Goins, 92, died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital in Broken Arrow.
Lorene Goins was born January 12, 1912 in Stang, Okla. the daughter of John and Nora (Heneger) Stone. She was united in marriage to Tom Goins in 1932 in Spavinaw, Okla. and he preceded her in death in 1985. Mr. and Mrs. Goins owned and operated Tom's Grocery in Spavinaw. They later owned and operated Tom's Lumber Company in Spavinaw until their retirement in 1973. Mrs. Goins had lived in Grove the last twenty five years coming from Spavinaw. Mrs. Goins was a member of the Grove Church of Christ. Mrs. Goins was known for her kind and gentle spirit and loved to quilt, knit and crochet.
Survivors include a son, Don Goins of Tulsa, Okla. three grandchildren, Pat Goins, Kathy Bohannan and Donald Lee Goins II., seven great grandchildren, Hunter Goins, Miranda Goins, James Bohannan, Daniel Bohannan, Zach Goins, Abbie Taborski and Elisha Goins. Three great great grandchildren, Corbin, Colby and Colson Taborski. Mrs. Goins was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue Goins.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 9, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the Grove Church of Christ with Mr. Doug Rainbolt, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow in the Spavinaw Strang Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Okla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grove Church of Christ in care of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.
