Rodeo Cowboy. Born in La Junta, Colorado, he was a top professional bull rider and a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). He began rodeo riding while in high school was the National High School Bull Riding Champion in 1981 and the Bull Riding Champion of the first Youth National Finals in 1982. Frost joined the PRCA and began to rodeo full time after graduating from high school. In 1987, he became the PRCA World Champion Bull Rider at the age of 24 and went on to compete in the first exhibition rodeo held 1988, at the Winter Olympics at Calgary, Canada. At a rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he died as a result of injuries sustained which riding the bull "Takin' Care of Business". Wyoming. In 1990, he was posthumously inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame and the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. Cause of death: Killed by a bull
Lane Frost, the 1987 World Bull Riding Champ, died at the young age of 25. He was killed after successfully riding a bull named Takin’ Care of Business at the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming on July 30, 1989.
