From Mountain View, Ok take Hwy 9 west to 1st county road. Turn right and go approx. 1 mile. Cemetery will be on the right.
On July 24, 1905, the Mountain View Cemetery Association was formed. The cemetery had previously been located across the Washita River on the north. But due to the 1903 flood it was decided to move the cemetery to its present location. As was the case of many of the towns in the Territory before statehood, the cemeteries were in use for several years before the towns became officially named. Mountain View Cemetery was one such case. It is owned by the City of Mountain View.
