Native American Grave House
Many of the tribes, this particular one being Seminole, erected grave houses over their dead to allow the spirit of the deceased to come visit in a quiet and sheltered manner. Many times the deceased favorite items is buried with them along with food for the journey. The grave house is allowed to disintegrate over time, when the house has fallen down, the spirit ceases to visit.
