Born: September 19, 1846 @ Van Buren, Arkansas; Died: March 1917 @ Eaton, Oklahoma.
John is the son of William Marion Jordan and Mary Ann (Draper) Jordan. He married Matilda Jane Bradley in 1865.
According to John's obituary, he died at the home of his son, Alex, who lived in Eaton, Nowata County, Oklahoma. Matilda and six of the children are mentioned in his obit.

Nora Adeline is buried in the Elm Grove Cemetery at Edna, Kansas.
