Born in Coffeyville, Kansas and died in Grove, Oklahoma.
William is the son of Lester Elam Daniel and Grace Emily (Thorpe) Daniel. William attended schools in Miami, Oklahoma and Coffeyville Junior College before receiving a degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University. He worked in engineering for 10 years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
