Stoops, Michael Gene "Mike," 60, Tulsa police officer, died Friday. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, Moore's Eastlawn Funeral Home, and service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Crosstown Church of Christ. (Tulsa World)
Stoops, Michael Gene "Mike", born September 15, 1952 in Tulsa, OK left this world Friday, October 12, 2012 from his home surrounded by his loving wife. Graduated high school from Will Rogers in 1971 and Northeastern State University in 1975. He was a member of Crosstown Church of Christ, Texas Accordian Association and the Italian American Society of Tulsa. He loved to spread the Word of Jesus. He enjoyed playing the accordion, trombone, piano and the guitar. He played at the Oklahoma Mozart Fest and Oktober Fest, playing in Ok, TX and AR. He also enjoyed traveling and reading language books. Preceded in death by sister, Preceded in death by his sister, Danette Stoops Kuykendall .
