Jasper Callis
Jasper B. "Jap" Ca1lis, 87, of Colcord, Okla., died Saturday, April 24, at Siloam Springs.
He was born Nov. 17, 1905, at Centerton to John Henry Callis and Gertie Bell Callis. He spent most of his life in the Colcord area. He was a retired farmer and was in charge of the Colcord Water Department for 20 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kansas, Okla., and a member of the Colcord Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife, Ada Callis; a son, Jim Callis of Colcord, Okla.; a sister, Olive Billups of Colcord; and three grandaughters.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Monday at Draper Community Center in Colcord with the Rev. Larry Ellis and paster Edward Billups officiating. Burial is to be in Row Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Ada Callis
COLCORD, Okla. — Ada Callis, 91, of Colcord died March 31, 2002, at Colcord. She was born May 20, 1910, in Colcord to Lemuel and Shabie Brazil Swicegood. She was a homemaker and a member of Colcord Church of Christ. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, J.B. "Jap" Callis, died in 1993.
Survivors include one son, Jim Callis and wife Helen of Colcord; three granddaughters, Cammie Byrd of Fayetteville, Amber McCormick of Siloam Springs and Misty Callis of Gentry; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Brice Swicegood of Colcord.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with Larry Ellis and Edward Billups officiating.
Burial will be in Row Cemetery in Colcord.
