Born in the Cherokee Nation (GA). Died in Indian Territory (OK). Husband of Mahala Cadle [lst marriage Elizabeth Bigby; l dau.,Mary Jane Fields; Father of of 12 children. Owned stagecoach road hotel, store, saddlery, etc., which served the Indian Territory (Beattie's Prairie, Maysville, military road. The hotel was the meeting place for General Stand Watie and Union generals and their staff for truce meetings; the buildings were extant in 1930's, in the care of his daughter, Sophronia, last surviving child. He was the son of Chief Richard Fields, Jr. and Jennie Buffington; and full brother to Ezekiel,Sr., Dempsey, and Henry Fields.
