Historical Note:
Charles was killed in Tahlequah. Roy Fisher struck him, knocking him to the curb where he hit his head and suffered a broke neck and died. Fisher was tried and found guilty of first degree man- slaughter and served 21 months of a 4 year term and leaving the area after being released from prison.
Charles left a wife and a grown son Otis and two daughters, Ola and Lola at home. He was a farmer, cattleman and horseman.
