William Knight, who was a member of the Upper Creek Indian Tribe, has no grave marker. His death and burial has been documented by an interview that was given by Amanda Jones Frank on March 17, 1938 to Billie Byrd, the field worker for the Works Progress Administration. Amanda testified in regards to those who were buried in the Frank/Davis Cemetery without a marker. The interview is on file at the Oklahoma Historical Society Library.
Amanda testified that William Knight had been a long sought member of the Isparhechar faction. She said she remembered the time that the Lighthorsemen took him as a captive and brought him to the Arbeka store that her father, Nero B. Jones, owned and established. It seems all the rebellious persons were being rounded up after Isparhechar had come to peace terms.
William Knight made an attempt to escape on a pinto pony and as he rode away from the store, his captors fired at him and he died immediately. His body was then brought into the Arbeka store and laid on the floor for the local attendants to bury.
The date of his death is unknown, however, it was before 1895.
