Georgiann Marie Keim passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2006, after a 20 year battle against Multiple Sclerosis, and recently against breast cancer. Georgiann was born January 14, 1954, the oldest daughter born to Thomas Byron and Margaret Ann Busse Keim. She attended St. Francis Xavier and St. Pius X Grade Schools and graduated from Monte Casino High School in 1972. After high school, she attended Oklahoma Slate University, graduating with a degree in Speech Pathology. She settled in Oklahoma City and later Yukon, Oklahoma, selling Yellow Page advertising, then returning to school at University of Central Oklahoma, earning a degree in Computer Programming. Georgiann worked for the State of Oklahoma as a programmer, until her health forced her into early retirement. She was active in Toastmasters in the Oklahoma City area, and you would not find her without her camera very oflen. She was preceded in death by her father, Byron Keim, and is survived by son, Kyle David Yates and his wife Holly of Oklahoma City; mother and step-father, Margaret and Jim Becker of Oklahoma City; sister, Rita Keim-Siegel of Sand Springs; brothers, Michael B. Keim of Tulsa and Thomas R. Keim of Oklahoma City; numerous other relatives including great-aunt Clara Busse of Tulsa; aunt and uncles Betty and Don Oexmann of Tulsa and Sally and Bob Powell of Littleton, CO. A rosary will be recited for Georgiann, Friday, evening, December 15, 2006, at 7:00 PM at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, with a funeral Mass Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2006,10:00 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 204 E. 4th St., Sand Springs, OK. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staffs of Oak Dale Manor and Grace Hospice for their services and caring. Bequests may be directed to the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the St. Pius X Library Fund, or to the charity of your choice.
